ADD VALUE TO YOUR HOME DURING COVID

Projects You Can Do To Add Value to Your Home During COVID-19

Going on week three of being stuck in your homes during the COVID-19 pandemic can cause anyone to go a little stir crazy or at least be feeling a little bored. You’re probably working from home to keep you busy throughout the day but we’ve all been finding more time on our hands once the day is over and chances are, you’re a little tired of doing the same 2 things every afternoon or when you’re taking a break from work to regroup. How about working on some projects that will add value to your home? Here are some great ideas!

Give your Kitchen or Bathroom Cabinets a New Coat of Paint

Whether you’re repainting them the current color or wanting to go for something new, the cabinets in your kitchen and bathroom could probably use a new coat of paint. Why not add some new hardware too? Home Depot and Lowes are both essential businesses so they’re open during this time and are using precautionary measures to help you continue to socially distance!

Pressure Wash Your Deck

There’s a good chance that this project has been on your list for a while and there’s no better time than now to get it done. Chances are, you’ll be spending way more time outside while stuck at home so why not make it look nice? If you don’t have your own pressure washer, check out this article on how to do it manually.

Check and Change your HVAC filter

With Spring officially here, this is a good task to get marked off of your list! Your air filter should be changed every 1-3 months and if you’re going to be inside your home for the next few weeks, you want to be breathing in good quality air. Changing the air filter regularly helps maintain healthy air quality, extends the life of your HVAC unit, and can cut your energy costs down!

Seal Cracks in Outdoor Concrete

Getting this done earlier, rather than later, can help reduce problems that you might see in the future! It can add value to your home if you’re planning on selling after this is over or it can just improve the overall look of your home. Follow these easy steps on how to seal the cracks in your concrete.

At Ally Property Inspections, we want you to know we’re here for you during this time. We’re offering free video consults to our past clients if you have any questions or concerns about your house. You can show us the problem areas via video or we’ll help answer any general questions! We know it can be a little stressful, uncertain, and sometimes scary but together we know we will get through this! We’ll still be here for you as your Atlanta, GA home inspector even after this is over. 404.793.3773
